How Working Parents at Zielpuls work

Zielpuls | News | How Working Parents at Zielpuls work

Job and family are not always easy to combine. But Zielpuls wants to support its employees as much as possible. We asked three employees how they can reconcile career and children and what tips they can give future working parents.

How do you manage to combine family and job?

Our daughter visits our nanny three times a week, my wife works in shifts. This is how I manage to ensure that Matilda is well looked after during my working hours. Of course the schedules collide sometimes. So if Matilda does spend time with me while I'm doing urgent work, she sits at my desk and paints or is allowed to watch Netflix for an hour or so - and of course Matilda has already taken part in one or two meetings. 😉

How does Zielpuls support you?

Zielpuls supports me in particular through the greatest possible flexibility in working hours. I can almost always adjust my weekly working hours completely according to our daughter's care times. The same applies to my colleagues. Everyone here shows the greatest understanding and supports me in maintaining this flexibility. In addition, at Zielpuls I can work from home almost without restrictions. This not only prevents the infection and spread of Covid-19, but also improves and facilitates working parenting considerably.

Here again THANKS to Zielpuls as an employer and to the whole Zielpulsbande, which makes working parenting possible in this form!

Do you have a tip for parents who want to combine family and career?

I get up early and work before our daughter wakes up. As well, I am also transparent with my colleagues and inform them about trips to the nanny, appointments at the pediatrician or other time restrictions. I maintain my calendar accordingly. This openness helps me a lot: colleagues show understanding and work can be planned well. I can therefore recommend these practices to others.

How do you manage to combine family and job?

With fun at the job and good organization everything works! 😉 In the job and in the family one is differently needed, so it won't get boring.

How does Zielpuls support you?

The flexible working hours are a relief and entrusting responsibility is motivating. Especially the appreciation and at the same time consideration of the team makes it easy to combine both.

Do you have a tip for parents who want to combine family and career?

Separate the two worlds of work and family as much as possible and still always remain yourself. This is the best way to enjoy both, work and family time.

How do you manage to combine family and job?

Through good organization and planning, the effective use of working hours and free time and of course a high extent of flexibility on both sides.

How does Zielpuls support you in this?

Zielpuls supports me with flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home. Parental leave or part-time work would also be possible. There is also the possibility to work in "calmer" projects.

Do you have a tip for parents who want to combine family and career?

Sure! Divide housekeeping and work among yourselves, use the offer of parental leave and stay in contact with colleagues during the time off/parental leave and thus stay on the ball. This is the way to do it in any case!
